What you didn't know about VLAD THE IMPALER!!!



Vlad the Impaler was born in Sighisoara, in Transylvania in 1431 and later ruler of Wallachia.
His father, Vlad Dracul, was knighted in the Order of the Dragon, order of chivalry in Eastern Europe aimed at stopping the expansion of the Ottoman Empire.

The nickname "the Impaler" was attributed only after his death in 1476, because of the way his favorite punishment.

As child, Vlad the Impaler lived as a hostage of the Turks.

While the family was murdered he was made aware that it torments endured.
This seems to be the reason why he poisoned soul so, come prince, punishing cutting, skinning, decapitating pulling impaled.
Known for his cruelty and intolerance, Vlad was respected by his subjects for the campaigns to fight the Turks.

Victor Hugo in "Legends of Siecles" play how Vlad Tepes army faced Sultan Mehmet II came to conquer the Romanian Country (Wallachia).

Trying to get to Targoviste, the Turkish army soldiers were terrified by the view offered houses burned, scorched plains and poisoned water fountains.

It all culminated with the image but near the fortress walls where Vlad shelter: an immense forest of dead bodies.
With fear and horrified by the smell of 20,000 bodies of Turkish prisoners stuck in Impaled, Muhammad himself retired  recognizing the victory of Prince.


Dracula's death are not known in sufficient detail, there are several versions incomplete.

The most popular story is that he had been killed in a battle against the Turks near Bucharest in December 1476.
